This range of products is manufactured by the Nippo Battery Company Limited, India (NBCL). NBCL is the second largest battery manufacturer in India. It was incorporated in 1972 as a joint venture with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., of Japan, with the aim of bringing the world's best battery technology to the country.

Nippo has been a household name for batteries in India for close to 3.5 decades now. Its two factories at Nellore and Tada, both in the Southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, cater to the soft energy requirements in the country.

The range of products manufactured by Nippo has found its way across the country through Transistors, Personal Stereos, Torch Lights, Remote Controls, Wall Clocks, Toys and more. Nippo torches the lives of several million Indians living in metros as well as small villages. It is a name that stands for quality, consistency, safety and value for money.

NBCL carries the proud distinction of being the first to manufacture the Tamper Proof Top Seal and Zinc Chloride technology in AA batteries, and is also among the first to introduce the Twin Piece Manganese Batteries in Shrink Pack and Nippo Premium Gold. It is also the first to achieve a Mercury Free Product. It offers a range of torch lights too.

Nippo carries the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification for quality on all its batteries.
